TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) A local church got a visit from Hollywood Tuesday.
Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka welcomed actor Frank Runyeon for three performances, beginning Monday.
Tonight Runyeon performed "The Sermon on the Mount", which is one of six biblical texts he has adapted and translated from Greek for performance.
He says he takes his inspiration from biblical history.
"When I deliver the "Sermon on the Mount" I always like to do imagining that we're the early Christians 2,000 years ago and what it was like the first time they heard Matthew tell them the story of what Jesus said in the most famous speech ever delivered," he said.
You can catch Runyeon's last performance, "Hollywood vs. Faith", tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. It's free and open to the public.
