Chase Ends With Deputy, Suspect Shot In Butler Co.

BUTLER Co., Kan. - (KAKE) - All suspects are in custody following a chase that began in Sedgwick County and ended in Butler County, according to a message from Sheriff Jeff Easter.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says a deputy and suspect are both in serious condition at Wesley Medical Center.

The chase began just before 6:30 pm Monday with traffic violations by the suspect's vehicle in Sedgwick County. The deputy chased the suspects to Kansas Highway 196 and NW 70th in Butler County, near Potwin.

Right now, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's office is working in conjunction with the Butler County Sheriff's Office along with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities say they will release more details Tuesday morning.
