TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- It was a tour that would bring the history of Topeka to life for those who attended.

The friends of Historic Topeka Cemetery held an open house and tour where participants took a horse drawn carriage ride through the cemetery which is home to many famous Kansans.

The Crane Mausoleum was open to view and served up refreshments.

Also attending the event was Topeka Cemetery Organizer Franklin crane himself, or rather a look alike.

Some of the other famed names on the tour included Cyrus K. Holliday, Vice President Charles Curtis and engineer and abolitionist John Ritchie to name a few.
