From the Topeka Police Department
The Topeka Police Department will conduct testing for full time entry level police officer Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and testing will commence at 8 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club 550 SE 27th.
Applicants will begin the day taking the National Police Officer Selection Test (P.O.S.T.). Study guides for the written exam are available at no cost by visiting the City of Topeka Human Resources Department and requesting a study guide or by mailing a request for a study guide along with a self addressed stamped envelope to the: City of Topeka Human Resources Dept, 215 SE 7th, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
Those who pass the written exam will participate in the Police Officer Physical Abilities Test (P.O.P.A.T.) at 1 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club 550 SE 27th. There is a video posted on the police department recruiting web site (www.topeka.org/JoinTPD) that demonstrates how to best prepare for the Police Officer Physical Abilities Test.
Anyone wanting to participate in the testing for full time entry level police officer MUST pre-register for the testing either by visiting www.topeka.org/JoinTPD or visiting the Topeka Police Department (320 S. Kansas Ave.) to complete an interest card.
