WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A Canadian man is expected to soon learn his punishment for taking a 12-year-old Kansas girl he met on the Internet.

Stewart Kenneth Cody McGill, of Bewdley, Ontario, faces sentencing Wednesday in federal court in Wichita on a charge of traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

The 21-year-old man pleaded guilty in February under a deal with that will lock him up for eight years, if the judge accepts it.

Authorities say McGill traveled last year to El Dorado (doh-RAY'-doh) to meet the girl. They were found a few days later near Potterville, Mich.

The girl told authorities at the time she went with McGill willingly. Prosecutors say McGill told police he met the girl playing ``World of Warcraft'' online and loved her.
