TOPEKA, Kan.(WIBW)___Boy Scouts of America has a one hundred year history and claims to be one of the most prominent values-based youth development organizations, but recently it has come under fire for who they continue to disallow amongst its ranks.
Leaders of BSA could possibly lift the ban prohibiting open homosexuals as members or leaders within troops and packs.
On Sunday, President Obama openly expressed his favor for the ban to be lifted.
Executive leaders of the BSA, including Topeka chairman and CEO of Fidelity State Bank and Trust Company Anderson Chandler could possibly put the issue to vote Wednesday.
Scout Executive and CEO of the Jayhawk Area Council says regardless of the outcome, leaders should be chosen based upon simple principles.
