TOPEKA, Kan The thundering of pins could be heard Saturday afternoon at West Ridge Lanes.

Teams of friends, family, co-workers and church members gathered for Bowl For Kids' Sake. It is Big Brothers Big Sisters largest annual fundraiser. The money raised will help provide mentors for children facing adversity.

This year the fundraising campaign had some added march madness with the help of three popular coaches in the state of Kansas. KU coach Bill Self, Kansas State Bruce Weber and Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall all supported the cause. Individuals had the opportunity to pick their favorite coach or school and at the end of the campaign the winning coach will receive a traveling trophy.

13s own Chris Fisher and Drew Switzer were in attendance.

Bowl for Kids' Sake will continue next Saturday, March 29 at 3:30 p.m. For information on how to register visit www.kansasbowl.org or call 785-234-5524.
