TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious package at the Law Enforcement Center in Topeka Friday.
The report came in around 12:45, according to Shawnee County dispatchers.
Few details were immediately released, but dispatchers said the package was located in the west parking lot of LEC, located at 320 S. Kansas Ave. 13 News was told a bomb squad was investigating.
Before 2 p.m. an all clear was given. 13 News was told the bag had been left by someone who walked into LEC and that there was no danger.
No further information was immediately released.
The Law Enforcement Center serves as the headquarters for the Topeka Police Department, Shawnee County Sheriff, and Shawnee County Dispatch Center.
