BURLINGTON, Kansas (WIBW) The city of Burlington in Coffey County is no longer under a boil water advisory acording to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Sunday.
The boil water advisory has also been ended for water systems that purchase from the City of Burlington, including New Strawn, Leroy, Gridley and Coffey County Rural Water Districts No. 2 and No. 3.
The boil water advisory was originally issued on January 5 because of a loss of pressure in the water system due to a system shutdown. Laboratory testing on samples collected indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
