TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - State officials say a Wichita-based business' bankruptcy filing has allowed some Taco Tico restaurants to reopen.

The Taco Tico at 2102 NW Topeka Boulevard reopened Monday afternoon. It was among locations owned by Ajax International Group, at which the state says the company racked up more than $434,000 in unpaid state sales taxes between June 2011 and October 2012.

Kansas Department of Revenue officials say the bankruptcy filing means the company will work with the state to pay the taxes owed and employees have been able to return to work.

The Revenue Department seized the assets of 10 of the company's restaurant sites, many of them in Wichita, March 5.
