Baileyville Woman Killed In Nemaha County Accident

(WIBW) - A rollover accident in Nemaha County claimed the life of a young woman.

Authorities say 20-year-old Kayla Strathman of Baileyville was driving south on Highway 63, south of Corning, early sunday morning when her vehicle drifted off the road. The vehicle hit a field driveway, became airborne and rolled, ejecting her.

A passerby spotted the wreckage just after 4:30 am Sunday and called authorities. EMS and law enforcement arrived and pronounced Strathman dead at the scene.

A rosary will be held Tuesday evening at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Strathman was preparing to start her junior year at Kansas State University where she was majoring in human resources.
