BCS Title Game Brought Topekans Out To Cheer On A Champion

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Even though locally, fans were without a home-town team, it did not stop them from finding an excuse to gather amongst friends to watch an eventual champion.

Notre Dame fans were strong believers heading into Monday night's game and faithful in the underdogs chances at upsetting the Crimson Tide.

Irish fan, Adam Sondgerots, was excited early saying, "We're number one baby, and we have Manti Te'o!"

But the 'Bama fans were quick to differ and support the reigning national champs from a year ago.

Crimson Tide fan, Desmon Walker said, "Alabama isn't going to let Notre Dame score as much as they are accustomed to. Alabam's defense is too much."

While other college football fans felt as though there was no need for Monday's championship game.

K-State fan Nicole Murray said, "As far as I'm concerned, the national championship game was played last thursday with K-State and Oregon."

Alabama collected its third BCS national championship in four years by beating Notre Dame 42-14.
