Authorities Say Topeka Home Intentionaly Set On Fire

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) -- Firefighters were called to the 3300 block of Southeast Fremont around 3:45 a.m where heavy fire was seen coming from the front of a house. Authorities say the house is vacant and no injuries were reported. The house sustained extensive fire and smoke damage.

Fire Investigators said the fire was intentionally set and began in the living room area of the house. Loss is estimated at more thatn $15,000 dollars.

The home is just two doors down from a house that caught fire Friday morning. Authorities have not said if the two are connected.

They are asking anyone with information to contact crime stoppers at 234-0007. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $2000.00 for information on any felony crime in Topeka or Shawnee County.
