Authorities Identify Five-Month Old Found Dead In Topeka Home

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police are awaiting autopsy results as they continue investigating the death of a five-month-old child in a central Topeka apartment.

The infant was identified Wednesday as 5-month-old Roget Davis, Jr.

Police responded just before 6 pm Tuesday to 1329 SW Filmore to check on the welfare of a child. They found the child dead in bedroom at the residence. Topeka Fire Department personnel declared the infant dead shorty after their arrival.

Authorities have made no arrests in connection with the incident.

Detectives are conducting interviews, and are working with the Coroner’s office awaiting autopsy results, as the investigation continues. Once the investigation is completed, it will be forwarded to the D.A.’s office for review.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
