(WIBW/KMAN) - The driver involved in a fatality wreck in Manhattan last week may have been on his phone at the time.

Riley County Police Director Brad Schoen shared that information with KMAN Radio in Manhattan.

49-year-old Mark Jilka was riding his bicycle south on K-177 June 26 when he was struck from behind by a truck driven by 32-year-old Derik Kesler of Rossville. Jilka died at the scene.

Schoen told KMAN his department is forwarding its reports on the incident to the county attorney's office so they can decide whether or not to press charges.
