TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt is urging Kansans to fight identity theft with a week full of free document destruction events.
National Consumer Protection Week began today and lasts through March 9th. Eleven separate locations throughout the state will offer free document shredding.
Attorney General Schmidt will also make consumer protection presentations in Sterling,Council Grove and Abilene.. Free document shredding will be available in Topeka at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library Wednesday from 8:00 A.M.to 9:30 A.M.
