Art With A Point - Thousands Of Them

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- You might call it art with a point -- thousands of them!

On Friday, Byron Goodspeed showed off his artwork of the world, all of which was created from push pins. He said he wanted to create something unique.

"I want them to be inspired, that something so small as a pin when put again and again can create something so large and amazing," said Goodspeed.

He says his brother Josh helped with the design, then Byron spent a thousand hours, pushing in each of the 47,000 pins it took to bring the piece to life.

Bryon believes he set a record for push pin art, but he still wants to go bigger.

He wants to create a 100,000 pin sculpture to donate to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
