Police Release Photos Of Alleged Sonic Robber

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- A Topeka Fast Food Restaurant fell victim to an armed robbery early Tuesday morning.

Shawnee County Dispatch said police received the call around 1:47 a.m. Tuesday on an armed robbery at the Sonic located at 29th and Gage.

Officials say the suspect went to the business and indicated he had a gun, although one was never shown.

He fled the scene on foot. The suspect was in his 20's, around 5'8' tall with a thin build and had dark hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene to help search for the suspect, but lost the trail at 2:47 a.m.

It is unknown how much money the suspect got away with.
