TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The suspects in the Monday evening robbery of the Wendy's Restarant at 728 SW Topeka Blvd. have been identified as George Christopher Walton, 37 and Tashuan Desanic Walton, 18 acording to Topeka officials.
The robbery happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. Police responded and quickly spotted a suspect getting into the back of a white passenger car. They tried pulling it over and when the car wouldn't stop they gave brief chase.
Officers eventually stopped the fleeing car near the intersection of 9th and Lindenwood and arrested both the driver and the passenger - all within 10 minutes of the robbery - while the suspect took off on foot.
With the help of the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Shawnee Co. Sheriff's Office, Capitol Police, and TPS, officers tracked the suspect, who remains unidentified, and arrested him without incident.
Police have not broken down the charges each person involved will face, other than to say that the driver will face child endangerment as well as several traffic violations.
