TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Another delay in the federal trial for a suspect in the 2011 murder of Natalie Gibson in Topeka. Michael Wilkins is the last of nine defendants not already convicted and sentenced in the case.

Gibson was shot to death in the driveway of her hom ein July 2011. Her partner, Lori Allison, was wounded as well.

Wilkins faces a federal gun charge. Prosecutors planned to drop the Shawnee Co. charges if Wilkins pleaded guilty to Felon in Possession of a Firearm charges.

Wilkins, though, changed attorneys and wants to change the guilty plea in federal court. A hearing on that was moved from this week to August 4th.

As of now, his trial in Shawnee Co. is set for September 22, 2014.
