American Teacher Shot And Killed In Benghazi, School Confirms

(CBS) - Libya An American teacher working at an international school in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi was shot and killed Thursday, a school official confirmed to CBS News.

Ronald Smith, a chemistry teacher at the International School Benghazi, was jogging at the time of the attack, according the official, who requested not to be named.

It is unclear who is responsible for the attack.

U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in an attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi in September 2012.
