TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) is willing to help citizens enroll for the Affordable Care Act before the next deadline comes up on January 15.
Residents can come sign up for health insurance at one of the next two sessions. The first is on Monday, January 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. The session will be held at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.
The second and final session for this time period will be on Tuesday, January 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Shawnee County Health Agency building, located at 1615 SW 8th.
Those enrolled between January 1st through the 15th will receive coverage starting February 1. If not enrolled by March 15, you will only be able to enroll under special circumstances, such as birth, loss of job, divorce, etc.
