WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- A Wichita Police affidavit said a baby crying on a TV show reminded a foster dad that he left a young girl in a hot car.

Seth Jackson, 29, is charged with first degree murder in the death of a 10-month-old girl, who was left outside in a car for more than two hours.

According to the affidavit, Jackson told officers that he came home after picking the child up from a babysitter, and stopping to get pizza.

His partner, a 26-year-old man, told police that after Jackson came home, they both ate pizza and smoked marijuana while watching "Game of Thrones." He said during the show, a child cried which reminded Jackson that the girl was still outside.

When they went outside to get her, she was already dead. A coroner ruled her cause of death hyperthermia.

Jackson bonded out of jail on Saturday. He's scheduled to be back in court for a preliminary hearing on August 13.
