TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A group of adults with disabilities welcomed some special visitors Monday.
Members of the Topeka RoadRunners skated into the "Exploring Life" Day Services program. The hockey players checked in on how the adults who use the program were doing and delivered Christmas cards.
The clients exchanged high fives with the players. A few even did a few dance moves with team mascot Reggie, who handed out candy canes. The clients made sure the team members received gifts, too. They baked holiday cookies for the RoadRunners.
Earlier in the day, the Exploring Life clients were out ringing the bells for the Salvation Army.
