TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- AT&T subscribers reported cell phone service outages Thursday morning as the company dealt with major tower problems.

AT&T users reported service outages as early as 9:00 a.m.

KCTV5's Andrew Zimmerman reported on Twitter, "AT&T outages have been reported on their Facebook page as far N as KC, W to Wichita, S to TX and E to Springfield. No response from @ATT."

Some AT&T users said their service was restored by 11:40 a.m. Some mobile devices just began working again. Others had to be restarted before they could send or receive calls or text messages.

The following was posted to the AT&T Facebook page around 1:00 p.m. Thursday:

"Earlier today, some customers in Kansas and Western Missouri may have experienced issues with 3G wireless services. Our technicians quickly worked to resolve the issue, and service is currently running normally. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."
