TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) The public can utilize free resources Friday to make sure they aren't a victim of identity theft.
The Kansas Attorney General, Derek Schmidt's office is offering free document shredding to mark consumer protection week.
There are two more opportunities to safely destroy sensitive documents.
One shredding event is in Emporia that ends at 1:00 PM and the other Saturday from 10AM to 2PM at the Topeka and Shawnee County Library.
