Conocophillips Gives A Major Gift To K-State

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- An oil and natural gas corporation continues its ongoing support for the Purple Pride.

Conocophillips has donated $278,000 to K-State Engineering, the College of Business Administration and a variety of programs across the campus.

The gift will support faculty fellowships and student professional programs that promote diversity at the university.

The university and Conocophillips have shared a relationship since 1945 that has resulted in research funding,faculty support and capital investments in the classroom and laboratories.

K-State President, Kirk Schulz says he looks forward to continuing a relationship with Conocophillips in the future as the school becomes a top 50 public research university by 2025.
