Deployment Ceremony For A Manhattan Reserve Unit

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A Manhattan Army Reserve Unit is packing up their ruck sacks and duffle bags and heading for afghanistan.

The 625th and 378th Transportation Detachment, Movement Control Team held their mobilization farewell ceremony at the American Legion in Manhattan.

The unit will support transportation operations of personnel and cargo for Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

The units were deployed previously for Operation Noble Eagle in 2002 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008.
