A former Kansas City Chief spoke to an area elementary school on the dangers of bullying.
Former offensive lineman Ricky Siglar spoke to students today at Jay Shideler Elementary about what to do if they find themselves being bullied or see someone else being bullied.
"A lot of these issues are self-esteem issues the kids that are actually doing the bullying have some underline type of issues, so they're looking for ways to kind of project that and transfer that stuff onto other kids," said Singlar.
Siglar says the image of the bullier is no longer the big menacing person he remembers growing up. He said with social media and internet you no longer need that physical presence to intimidate a person.
Siglar told the students his own son has been the victim of bullying at school this year.
