Accident Leaves Motorcyclist In Serious Condition
Motorcyclist is sent to the hospital after hitting pavement trying to avoid a wreck with truck.

An accident Thursday night sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office, Thomas Barlett, 69, of Topeka was traveling south in the 3800 block of southeast West Edge road on his motorcycle just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
A truck traveling north turned left onto Howey Road, Barlett tried to avoid hitting it and crashed in the roadway while trying to brake.
There was no indication that the truck and motorcycle hit each other.
The cyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Tom, this has been a wonderful blessed journey for you on this life, You were the Wonderful man filled with Love & Joy, One of your favorite passions in life was riding your Harley, For to save another and save your bike,you held you own,and it took your life, For you are the man that loved the Lord,and you worked for him daily,and you gave everyone the world! Thomas you loved riding your Harley, one of your joys in life, God came and took you,We Prayed for your mind, God came for your soul. You were the Best Wonderful human being that served your Lord for all of mankind, You have a heart of Gold,We all forever will know, We Love you forever and Lord,how we will miss you,We don't want you to go, God wants you more than we all will ever know, The sadness and broken hearts you have left behind, Thank You for the Beautiful memories,you left in all our hearts, When it comes time you your loved ones to let you go, We want you to know,it's all good, Your being released back to God's Hands,as it stands, You'll never be forgotten all in our Hearts, We all just hate the leaving we have to come to let you go, We Pray for the family,This Miracle we are sending,it's really in your hands,Lord,if you want it this way,there is truly nothing we can say, To this day,We LOVE,HONOR AND CHERISH TOM BARLETT MEMORY,See you in Heaven on God's Side
