A week after two highway workers were struck and killed by a hit-run vehicle, Douglas County authorities have not filed charges.

District Attorney Charles Branson his office is still working on a case against two women who were arrested in Osage County after the men were struck Tuesday in a work zone on U.S. 59.

Forty-eight-year-old Ramona Morgan faces several traffic charges in Osage County and her daughter Sabrina Morgan is charged with aiding a felon.

Both remain in jail.

Authorities are still looking for help in their investigation of the deaths.
Law officers spent more than an hour yesterday morning stopping vehicles at the scene, asking motorists if they were in the area at the time.
