A school bus carrying the Buhler High School volleyball team overturned Tuesday in an accident at a Wichita intersection. At least a dozen students were hurt, none seriously.
But police said the driver of the van that hit the bus was taken by air ambulance from the scene in critical condition.
Buhler school district spokeswoman Kelly McGuire said the bus was carrying 25 members of the girls’ team and two coaches to a match in Augusta.
McGuire said at least 10 girls were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
The school sent a second bus to bring the remaining girls home.
