Laugh Olympics

More than 80 people showed up to participate in the Laugh Olympics. The event is in its sixth year and raises money for ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease and Sickle Cell Disease.
The event began as an outing for eight men. One of the men, John Wake had been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia and died before he the second year.
The others, determined to go on with the Laugh Olympics, donated 200 dollars each to the cause and made it in Wake's memory.
The event began at the Alvamar Orchard Golf Course. Participants played nine holes of golf then went bowling and fiished off with shuffle board and darts.
T.J. Larvik Jr., co-founder of the Laugh Olympics calls it the "common man's" olympics.
Among those who came out Sunday was Sean Younger who has been diagnosed with ALS just over a year ago. He says he is proud to be a part of an event such as this and even more proud to have such good friends.
