The D.A.'s office is working to bring Christopher Dwayne Hall back to Topeka to face charges.

We spoke with the Missouri Department of Corrections spokesperson Brian Hauswirth today.

He says Hall was serving a six-year sentence for six counts of stealing from Boone County, Missouri in 2002.

He was put on conditional release in March of 2006 and he absconded October 12th.

The search continued until December 29th when he was picked up by a fugitive justice officer in Topeka.

On April 23rd, Shawnee County issued a request to detain Hall on an aggravated robbery and aggravated battery case.

Those charges, since upgraded to intentional attempted second degree murder, stemmed from this incident at the Fairlawn Green Apartments last christmas day.

Two people were beaten with a hammer.

Hall is currently being held in the Eastern Reception Diagnostic Corrections Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri, near Saint Louis.
