ROLLA, Mo. (AP) Authorities call it a major drug bust, 152 pounds of uncut cocaine found on a truck.
Driver Husam Bshara is charged with drug trafficking after his arrest at a truck stop on Interstate 44 in Rolla. Police say the cocaine would be worth nearly $7 million if sold by the gram on the street.
I-44 is believed to be one of the nation's major drug pipelines, and law enforcement in the Rolla area have made it a priority to try to intercept drugs along the route.
The arrest of Bshara came after a tip to police. Police say a drug dog found the cocaine hidden in compartments in the cab of a tractor-trailer.
