Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed an agreement with the Army Tuesday that makes Kansas a partner in the "Partnership for Youth Success" program.
It allows recruits to pick a future employer then the Army puts them on a career path in the military.
After their service the veteran is guaranteed a job interview for their choice career.
Governor Sebelius says the program is a great way to get veterans returning to civilian life back to Kansas.
Sebelius said, "Our military men and women, we know, make outstanding employees and we look forward to keeping them here in Kansas. We hope through this program to convince a few who maybe didn't start in Kansas, to stay in Kansas."
