Topeka, Kan. (WIBW)_ Topeka City Council discussed changes to a law about carrying loaded firearms on city streets at a work session before their meeting Tuesday night.
They discussed the unregulated open carrying of loaded firearms on city streets.
Topeka Police Chief Ron Miller and others say the law was changed in 2007 as an oversight. Miller wants the law changed back, but others don't want it to change.
Miller says changing the law wouldn't impact people on private property.
No decision was made Tuesday night. Topeka City Council is expected to discuss it more in the future.
