A health advisory has been issued for residents in North Topeka.
The city of Topeka'a Water Pollution Control Division issued the advisory for residents along the Old Soldier cCreek channel from Hwy 24 to Garfield Park.
They say circuits for the pump in a small pump station south of Lyman Rd. failed this morning causing raw sewage to spill into the channel.
They are advising that no one including pets should not come into contact with the water in the area until further notice.
