TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) - Education Funding Group presented checks to the Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation and Shawnee Heights elementary principals Tuesday morning. Major Hammet, a representative from the Education Funding Group made the presentation.

The organization collaborated with local businesses in the Shawnee Heights community to provide cards sold by students in an effort to raise funds for the Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation and also district elementary PTO's.

The Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation provides classroom grants and scholarships to students. Elementary PTO's are instrumental in raising funds for various activities and needs for each building.

Education Funding Group provides programs to benefit schools, education foundations, students, business owners and community patrons.
