More than 200 bikers roared through parts of south-central Kansas Sunday, but they were welcomed with open arms.
They took off one by one for a 100-mile ride through Wellington, Harper, Kingman, then back again.
The 19th annual Harley-Davidson "Freedom Run'' was designed to raise money to fight Muscular Dystrophy. Organizer Frank Charles said the 228 bikes raised $24,000.
The ride also was a "poker run,'' where bikers get their cards punched at certain locations and are eligible to win prizes.
The bikers say they participate because it's a good cause, and they get to see different parts of Kansas each year. And, of course, it's a lot of fun.
