(WIBW) - Life after high school will be the focus of a talk by a person who sees people adjusting to that life every day.

KU Chancellor Dr. Bernadette Gray-Little will speak at 6 pm Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. Her appearance will take place in Marvin Auditorium.

Gray-Little will talk about preparing for life after high school, as well as her experiences with youth and her new role at KU.

The event is free and open to the public. The chancellor’s speech is cosponsored by the Golden City Sertoma Club.

Gray-Little's appearance is part of the Library's Black History Month activities.

Also during Black History Month, library customers and staff will read their favorite African-American authors at two read-ins, scheduled for Feb. 20 (for children) in the Story Zone and Feb. 21 (for adults) in Marvin Auditorium.

In the Paint is another Black History Month event the library is hosting. Former members of the Topeka Ramblers, an all-black basketball team, will talk basketball, segregation and life at Topeka High School in the 1940s at 2 p.m., Sat., Feb. 27 in Marvin Auditorium 101BC.
