'Sexually Violent Offender' Arrested For Attempted Rape
Topeka Police arrested Raymond Gager Jr., 56, of Maryland, Sunday night on charges related to an attempted rape in southwest Topeka.

TOPEKA, Kansas - On February 7th at 10:46 p.m., Topeka Police responded to a report of an attempted rape in the 200 block of Redbud Circle.
Upon arrival, they interviewed the victim and multiple witnesses.
Raymond Joseph James Gager Jr., 56, of Hagerstown, MD was arrested and booked into DOC on charges of attempted rape, aggravated battery, criminal restraint, and criminal threat.
Police investigation revealed that Gager is a fugitive from justice and has warrants for his arrest out of Maryland. Gager is also listed as a sexually violent offender.
