Kansans will have a couple reasons to watch the new season of "Big Brother" on CBS. Two of the houseguests are from the Sunflower State.
KU student Carol Journey is the daughter of State Senator Phil Journey of Haysville. Fellow contestant Jessica is from Haysville.
One twist "Big Brother" is promoting is that some of the houseguests are rivals and don't know the other will be there. 13 News spoke with Carol's mother, Suyapa, who said she cannot comment on whether there's any history between Carol and Jessica, but she did say she can't wait to see the reaction when Carol meets the other houseguests.
Suyapa also said the family is excited for the premiere. She says she's never watched the show before, but has been doing some research since learning Carol would be on it.
"Big Brother 8" premieres at 7 pm this Thursday on WIBW-TV. To follow along, go their website, www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/.

Phil Journey is an idiot. I hope his daughter is smarter than he is.
