Topeka (WIBW) - This year's ERC Designers' Showhouse event will be twice as nice.

Instead of one home, the agency announced Monday, it's selected two for its 30th annual fundraising event.

The first location is a Victorian home at 1621 Boswell in the College Hill neighborhood. It was recently purchased by the United Methodist Church as a campus ecumenical ministry center.

Because of its use with limited funding, ERC is encouraging local business and philanthropic community members to consider adopting a room for the makeover. ERC Executive Director Reva Wywadis says it's a way to help two local non-profits.

The second location is a house under contruction at 5029 Northwest Derby Drive in the Sterling Chase subdivsion. It will highlight "green" construction techniques and energy effeciencies.

Wywadis says it will "create public awareness and entertain at the same time." Shey says the Topeka Home Builders Assocation Green Council is involved with the project.

The Bare Bones previews are February 18th thru 21st. Tickets are $5.

Money raised benefits ERC's child care referral and development programs.

Businesses and individuals interested in supporting the project with financial donations or as designers should contact Wywadis at 785-357-5171.
