An Overland Park insurance agent has been sentenced for securities fraud.
Danny Moore will serve 24 months of supervised probation and will serve 240 hours of community service.
An original prison sentence of 12 months for violating the Kansas Uniform Securities Act was suspended.
Moore was convicted of one felony count of securities fraud in October.
The count comes from an incident where Moore solicited a Johnson County Resident in May 2006 to increase a prior investment in school bonds.
However the bonds did not exist and Moore used the $20,000 for his own personal expenses.
