Topekans Snap Up Bus Passes
It took only hours for Community Action to give away its available free bus passes.

Topeka (WIBW) - Topekans jumped at the chance to hop on the bus for free.

Community Action had a limited number of free passes available for Topeka Transit, good for the month of January. They started giving them out Monday morning and were out by 1 pm.

The passes were targeted to people over the age of 18 who met income guidelines and depend on public transportation to get to work or school.

Community Action says it plans to give away a limited number of passes again next month. How many are available depends on available funding.
