A 77-year-old northern Kansas man is dead after his pickup truck rolled over him in Phillips County.
The highway patrol says Lewis Schneider of Logan had stopped his truck and stepped out to open a pasture gate near U-S 36 in Phillips County.
But Schneider left the vehicle in neutral, and it rolled off the road, crossed the ditch and struck him as he opened the gate.
