4 Year-Old Fire Victim Identified
Investigators determine what caused the fire Wednesday night that claimed the life of a four year-old boy.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Investigators determine what caused the fire at a Topeka home which claimed the life of a four year-old boy Wednesday night.

Davier Holmes was trapped inside of the home at 2631 SE 11th Street when a candle accidentally set the front room ablaze shortly before 8 p.m. He was unresponsive when firefighters finally reached him.

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment and Thursday morning the TFD reported that the boy had died.

Investigators estimated the fire caused $45,000 worth of damage to the home, $30,000 in structural damage, and $15,000 in content damage.
