The Nemaha School District and their insurance company have reached a tentative agreement to cover the cost of the school building.
On March 10 the Seneca grade school and junior high went up in flames and this week they reached a verbal agreement of more than $4.9 million.
The agreement only includes the cost of the building, architectural and engineering fees.
They expect the cost of other things like temporary classrooms, asbestos removal and personal property lost to add another $1.3 million to the cost.
There is a special school board meeting scheduled for May 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the high school.
At that time the school board will received a report from the public planning group.
