EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW)_ Emporia State University's Johnston Geology Museum is still looking for three rare fossils last month.
The fossils of a primative shark, an acanthodonian fish and a rock containing a whole adult bony fish with scales were reportedly taken.
When asked by KVOE, the Museum's Director Chris Hoover did not give any details of the investigation. Physical Sciences Department Chair DeWayne Backus did warn that improper disposal of the fossil would be devastating to their quality.
In response to the theft, the museum has changed its hours and imposed stricter security standards.
